About NUA
NUA Institute is an independent international curatorial initiative (in formation) focused on the study of gesture, line, and minimal contemporary form.

The institute develops its programs through long-term, city-based research and on-site observation during key cultural moments, including biennales and international exhibitions.

NUA Institute operates as a non-commercial, research-driven platform producing exhibitions (Editions), open calls, public programs, and publications across different cultural contexts.

Its approach is based on clarity, discipline, and the belief that the minimal mark can carry presence, decision, and human attention.

Vision

To build a long-term curatorial platform where each project results in:
selection → public event → publication → archive

NUA Institute emerged from long-term artistic practice and research into process, material, and symbolic form.

The initiative developed at the intersection of artistic practice, material experimentation, and curatorial inquiry, gradually expanding beyond individual work into a platform for collaborative research and exchange.

Founder’s Note
As an artist working with printmaking and ceramics, I have consistently been drawn to forms of making that prioritize gesture, reduction, and intuition over spectacle or narrative excess. Over time, this approach expanded beyond my individual practice into a curatorial and research-based interest.

NUA Institute was founded as a platform to support artists and practices that engage with minimal contemporary form, material experimentation, and symbolic language across different cultural contexts. The institute operates as an open framework — evolving through exhibitions, open calls, and collaborative programs rather than fixed institutional hierarchies.

At its core, NUA Institute is driven by a belief in art as a process of attention, transformation, and shared inquiry.
